Our Story

Since I was a kid, I used to love skateboards. I was never very good at riding, but loved the artwork on the decks. My first skateboard was a retro style skateboard, yellow in color with a blue jaws image on the bottom. I used to love looking at the skateboards at the local board shop, but could never get the ones I wanted. Brands I used to admire included Hook-ups, Creature, and Blind. One of my all time favorites were the Alice in Wonderland Hook-ups boards., though I still have never been able to own one.

DeadRingerBoards was born with the first version of my “Lizzie” board design. I wanted to create something creepy, but along a similar vein that Hook-ups had done. Then came “Lavinia”, my tentacle face girl. It all branched out from there. My dream for Dead Ringer Boards is to create skate decks with killer designs, that can be either ridden until they are no longer recognizable or hung on a wall to be admired the way I did when I was a kid. I want to make that 10 year old me happy, with his own board designs hanging on the wall of the local skate shop.
